Throughout the next 50 years, he became a part of the Ironworker’s Union, where he was a valued employee at both San Jose Steel, Reinholm Crane and Rigging and San Jose Crane and Rigging. It was there that he met Eleanor Haugh, who would later become his long-time companion and wife. Many seasons were spent traveling between Bakersfield and San Jose, where he worked at Tri – Valley Cannery. He lived in Oklahoma and attended Dwight Mission School, part of the Cherokee Nation, until his early teens, when he and his family journeyed west to Bakersfield, CA.
He was born on Februin Webber Falls, Oklahoma - the son of Samuel and Lillie Fulton. Homer Fulton passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday February 12th, 2020 at Caring Hearts residential home.
